Okay, I’ve been very quiet here for the past year. Mostly because I am dissatisfied with the layout and look of the site and I lack the skills required to make it look better. I’ve been working away, mostly on smaller projects, and I’ve been travelling a LOT.
Anyway, here is the latest painting I’ve completed, and it’s for the Square Foot exhibition at the AWOL Gallery in Toronto (show starts on August 16 at 100A Ossington Ave, second floor)

No, I’m not the Sunshine Girl, but I am in the Travel section of the April 4 edition of the Toronto Sun. The article, written by columnist Harvey Currell, centers on my art practise in Palgrave and my studio, which I have taken over from my grandfather, who used to create ornamental iron and steel for use in industry and residential decoration. The article is on page 40 of the newspaper and features a photograph of me in the studio.

www.joliverstudio.com has finally been redesigned with a new look and new layout. Everything is still very new to me, and I’m still working out the kinks, so please bear with me while I settle in to the new groove.
I’m having a show of recent work, starting on Friday (November 24, 2006) at Not My Dog in Toronto (1510 Queen Street West). The opening is November 24, and the bar is open late. There will be quite a few new paintings, as well as some older ones. Lots to see! Come on down!
I’m going to attempt to paste the invite in here…
